For Ages 11-14, this 2 hour introduction to the wellness center is required before youth will be permitted to use Strength Training and Cardio equipment. This session is also available and Recommended to those ages 15-17, but is not a requirement.
During the session, knowledgeable staff will discuss with youth members, their background, and desired outcomes, as well as other basic health and wellness topics. Topics included are, basics of goal setting, workout set-up and recording, self monitoring, hydration and, weight center terminology. Also, members will be shown how to safely and effectively operate various pieces of cardio equipment and strength training machinery.
CALL YOUR BRANCH TO REGISTER. Once you’re registered, a trainer will contact you schedule a meeting time that works for the both of you. Some session may be conducted as small groups. Sessions may be broken into 2-1hr, sessions. Once completed, certificates will be issued and “ok to use” notation will be made on the profile granting access to the wellness centers in our association.
