We at the YMCA of York and York County are no longer requiring individuals who are fully vaccinated to wear masks or face coverings while in our facilities or engaging in YMCA activities, such as working out in the wellness center, participating in group exercise, or socializing with others. This change is a result of updated recommendations and orders from the CDC and PA Department of Health.
We’re holding true to our core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility by trusting our entire YMCA family to adhere to these new orders so we will not be requiring any proof of vaccination. However, we care deeply for all of our members, staff, and volunteers so we ask that unvaccinated individuals continue to wear masks while at the YMCA or engaging in YMCA activities. For assistance getting your COVID vaccine, please reach out to Jose at 717-843-7884 x262 (Services in English and Spanish)
Your health and wellbeing is still our top priority so we will continue to hold ourselves to the highest safety standards by continuing to implement proven best practices, including disinfecting protocols, promotion of regular handwashing, and regular deep cleaning of our entire facilities. Your patience and support is greatly appreciated as we navigate this new reality and review our procedures and policies.
This change will empower our YMCA to better focus on offering our members the best experience possible, providing programs to improve the wellbeing of people from all backgrounds, and serving our community with life-changing charitable work. Thank you for being a part of our YMCA family. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
