The YMCA of York and York County is proud to offer a variety of day-long summer camps to help your child learn, grow and achieve all summer long! From archery to art, from swimming to science, your child is sure to create many lasting friendships and memories this summer with the YMCA of York.
We believe that ALL people of all ages should have the opportunity to build a healthy spirit, mind and body, regardless of their income. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
Camp Discovery – Southern Branch YMCA
Ages 5 - 12
Camp Discovery programs are fun for children of all ages. Activities include field trips, science lessons, swimming, sports, arts & humanities and exercises that help campers learn the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. Camp Discovery provides a safe, nurturing and fun camp experience for children of all ages. Ages 5 - 16
Camp Spirit is located on 14 acres of outdoor space. Campers participate in a wide variety of programming that includes swimming, archery, indoor gaga pit, amphitheater and an arts & crafts center. Campers enjoy the summer with sports, games, a rock climbing wall, lodges and more. Many activities are related to theme days. Leaders in Training – Camp Spirit
The Leaders In Training program is for children ages 14-16 years old. The LITs will embark on their leadership journey with the campers and staff of Camp Spirit. Each LIT will have a chance to lead in each program area with the 5-9 age groups. LITs will never be left alone with campers and will not be responsible for them, but they will be asked and expected to lead by example.
Registration Fee: $30/Child $50/Family
Weekly Fee: $115 (Members) $140 (Youth Membership/ Non-Members)
Daily Fee: $30 (Members) $35 (Youth Membership/ Non-Members)
4th and 5th Grade
This summer program aims to prevent summer learning loss while getting fourth and fifth grade students excited about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Program details will be posted on March 1, 2019. Contact Program Director, for more information.
