The Freedom from Smoking® program, developed by the American Lung Association, is designed to help people quit tobacco use and develop a smoke-free lifestyle. This FREE program includes 8 90-minute sessions with a small group of 6 to 12 people. Led by a certified facilitator, the program features a variety of evidence-based techniques for individuals to combine into their own plan to quit smoking. The class format encourages participants to work on the process and problems of quitting, individually and as part of a group.

Class topics include:

  • Health benefits of quitting tobacco use
  • Winning strategies – including nicotine replacement
  • Creating a personal plan
  • Tips for staying tobacco free

This program is offered FREE to members of the community.
