Congratulations to all runners! Age group and Overall winners who did not receive their awards after the race can pick them up at the York Branch YMCA, 90 N. Newberry St.. Awards will be available for pick up from Monday, May 21, 12:00 pm to Sunday, May 27, 4:00 pm at the Member Service Desk. Please bring a form of ID to ensure that you receive the correct award.

Whether you are aiming for a Boston Qualifying time or are running your first long distance race, the York Marathon and Half Marathon is a fast-paced chip-timed event hosted by the York Branch YMCA.

March 1 – April 15, 2018 – Marathon $70, Half Marathon $50
April 16 – May 16, 2018 – Marathon $90, Half Marathon $70
Packet Pick-up Registration:
May 19, 2018 – Marathon $100, Half Marathon $80
Registration closes on Wednesday, May 16, 9:00 pm and will resume at Saturday packet pick-up provided space is available.
Race day registration is NOT available.
The race begins at the York Branch YMCA, 90 N. Newberry St, York, PA 17401 and ends just 2 blocks from the YMCA at Lafayette Plaza in the heart of the City of York. Race day check-in begins at 5:15 am. The marathon begins promptly at 6:00 am; the half marathon at 6:15 am. The race route closes at 12:00 pm.
The flat race course begins on city streets and transitions to the York County Heritage Rail Trail and ends at Lafayette Plaza. The trail surface is compacted crushed stone. This is a USTAF certified marathon course. Download the York Marathon/Half Marathon Map 2018.
Male and Female (24 & under) (25-29) (30-34) (35-39) (40-44) ( 45-49) (50-54) (55-59) (60 -64 ) (65-69) (70 & over)
Overall Male and Female Winner plus Male and Female Age Division 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers. All runners will receive a finisher medal. Runners registered by May 5, 2018 are guaranteed a moisture wicking short-sleeved race shirt.
Water stations that provide water, gatorade and gels are located every 1.5 miles along the course.
RACE ROUTE SAFETY
Runner safety is a priority! Area Wide Protective, a professional traffic safety company, and local police and fire police will man all intersections along the race route. YARS, FCC licensed amateur radio operators who focus on emergency communications, will be on the trail to provide communication to emergency medical crews and to race coordinators. WellSpan Sports Medicine will provide 3 first aid tents manned by physicians: 2 tents on the course and 1 at the finish line.
Pacers are not provided for either the half or the full marathon events.
PACKET PICK UP
Saturday, May 19 (9:00 am – 4:00 pm), Sunday, May 20 (4:30 am – 5:45 am) York Branch YMCA, Loucks Conference Room. Parking is available in the YMCA lot located off Clarke Avenue, adjacent to the Y building. Please enter the building through the back entrance from the parking lot. Bring ID and a completed Emergency Contact Form.
You MAY pick up a packet for another runner, provided you have a photocopy of their ID and their completed Emergency Contact Form.
Runners registered for the marathon may change to the half marathon, however a refund for the price difference will not be issued. Injured runners may defer their race registration to the 2019 race provided the Race Director is notified by April 30, 2018. Deferrals on or after May 1 will be assigned a $20 fee to cover the cost of race swag, which will be available for runner pick up at the York Branch YMCA. Race registrations may not be transferred to another individual.
